## 8Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use four categories:

| Category | What it is for | How to turn it off |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Necessary | Basic operation of the page and the forms | Cannot be turned off |
| Analytics | Understanding how the page is used and improving the experience | Through the page notice or the browser |
| Functionality | Remembering your preferences and personalizing your experience on the page | Through the page notice or the browser |
| Advertising | Measuring campaigns and showing more relevant ads | Through the page notice or the browser |

On the pages at conteudos.esquile.com, the notice shown on the page lets you accept or refuse each category. This control covers the cookies of our hosting platform. Analytics and advertising cookies set by third-party tools, such as Google Analytics and Meta, must be blocked through your browser settings, which let you refuse or delete cookies from any site. Turning them off does not prevent you from using the page.

**On the website www.esquile.com.** Analytics cookies (Google Analytics and HubSpot) and advertising cookies (Meta) are only turned on after you click "Accept" in the website's cookie notice. If you click "Refuse", or while you have not made a choice, these scripts are not loaded. Your choice is stored in your browser and can be changed at any time through the "Cookies" link in the website footer. If you change to refuse, the cookies of these tools stored on the website's domain are deleted from your browser. When you accept and send the contact form, the website tells Meta that a contact was made, without sending your name or your e-mail.

Part of the conversion measurement takes place through direct transmission between the payment platform and the advertising tools, without the use of cookies. This transmission is not affected by your browser settings or by the cookie notice shown on the page. If you wish to object to this processing, write to [faleconosco@esquile.com](mailto:faleconosco@esquile.com).

## 9Security

We adopt technical and administrative measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration and improper disclosure. Even so, security incidents can happen. If an incident occurs that may pose a relevant risk or harm to you, we will notify you and the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

## 10Testimonials and consent

This section applies to testimonials from people who bought an Esquile course and from people invited to watch the course, received through the testimonial form or by written message, and to the waiting list forms on our course pages.

**What the testimonial form collects.** Name, how the name may appear (full name, or first name and initial of the last name), e-mail, course, the text of the testimonial and, if you wish, the link to a video. The video shows your image and your voice. We also keep a record of what you checked on the form (the consent to processing, the authorization of use and the confirmation of legal age), with the date and time of submission.

**What we use it for.** To read your testimonial and talk to you about it. If you check the authorization of use, also to show the testimonial (the text and, if you send it, the video, with your image and your voice) and your name, in the form you chose, on the course sales page and in Esquile ads on social media, with the identification "student of the founding class" or, for people who watched the course at Esquile's invitation, "Watched as a guest" (shown in Portuguese on the page as "Assistiu como convidada"), to promote the course. If we need to shorten the text or the video, we show you the shortened version before using it.

**Legal basis.** Consent (art. 7, I, of the LGPD). Consent for us to read the testimonial is given when the form is submitted. When the testimonial arrives by written message, the authorization is the message itself, which we keep with its date. The authorization to show the testimonial on the page and in ads is a separate box, optional and unchecked. Authorizing or not authorizing does not change your access to the course or the price you paid. The authorized use is free of charge.

**Who sees it.** The authorized testimonial is public on the course page and in the ads. The ads are delivered by Meta (Facebook and Instagram), which receives the content of the ad to display it. Your e-mail does not appear on the page or in the ads.

**How to withdraw the authorization.** Write to [faleconosco@esquile.com](mailto:faleconosco@esquile.com), with no need to give a reason. The testimonial is removed from Esquile's page and ads within 30 days. Withdrawal does not undo the use made before it, and copies that other people may have made of the public content are beyond our reach.

**How long we keep the testimonial.** The authorized testimonial is kept while it is in use and for up to 12 months after its last use. A testimonial sent without authorization of use is kept for up to 12 months after it is sent. If you withdraw the authorization, the testimonial is deleted from our database within 30 days. The record of the consent, the authorization and the withdrawal is kept for 5 years after the end of the use, so that we can prove the use was authorized.

**Legal age.** We only accept testimonials from people aged 18 or over. The form asks for this confirmation before submission; in a written message, it is part of the authorization text.

**What to leave out of the testimonial.** We ask that the testimonial does not include health data, religion, political opinion or other sensitive data, nor data about other people, such as the names of colleagues or clients. If the testimonial includes any of this data, we remove that passage before using it.

**Waiting list of a course.** The waiting list form asks for name, e-mail, your choice to receive the list e-mails and the confirmation that you are 18 or over. We use the name and e-mail only to send the e-mails of that course's list, such as lesson 1, the enrollment link and the last-day reminder. The legal basis is consent (art. 7, I, of the LGPD), given in the form box, which comes unchecked. When you accept advertising cookies, the page tells Meta and Google Analytics that a sign-up took place, without sending your name or your e-mail.

**How to leave the list.** Through the link in each e-mail or by writing to [faleconosco@esquile.com](mailto:faleconosco@esquile.com). When you leave, we stop sending. We keep your name and e-mail while you are on the list. After you leave, we keep only the e-mail and the record of the consent and of your departure, for 5 years, so as not to send again and to prove the consent.

**Data protection officer and contact channel.** The channel of the officer in charge of personal data processing is [faleconosco@esquile.com](mailto:faleconosco@esquile.com). Through it you can withdraw the authorization of use, leave the list and exercise the rights in section 7.
